Healthy tips to lose weight fast and permanently

This topic can be an incredibly personal and incredibly touchy subject for a lot of people, people who through no fault of their own, and gained some extra weight or even an unfortunate amount of weight. It is a difficult subject because how do you broached the subject with an overweight person without offending? I broached the subject because I myself am obese, in fact I am morbidly obese. I am fortunate enough to have found a way to finally begin getting rid of some of my excess fat. I am 5.1 the tall and at my heaviest I weighed a whopping 92 kg (203 lbs)! The scary part is it can happen so fast, that you barely have time to register what happening until it’s too late. This is what happened to me, and this is what is happening to thousands of people all over the world.

This may be a sad fact, but they certainly is a happy alternative to the conventional methods of fat loss. If you are like me and are tired of trying to lose weight by uselessly spending my time in the gym while eating a cardboard diet, or even worse, living on some insane extreme diet, then you are REALLY going to like this. How about if I told you that you could continue to eat the foods you love, is it still lose fat? What if I said these words to you: healthy fasting? What would your reaction be, I wonder? Most reactions would automatically be to scoff at the idea, ran screaming for the hills at the thought of fasting also dismissed me and my theories as complete and utter bollocks! But if I could hold your attention just a little while longer, I would prove to you how easy it can be to lose weight without hating it, and actually seeing results fairly quickly.

Like I said, if you’re like me and you’ve tried everything already and have found that nothing actually really works, not long-term anyway, then what it can hurt to try just one more thing? To put fears to rest, I suggest you read up on intermittent fasting, or more specifically Eat Stop Eat, and read up on the reviews and about what this program can do for you. You will come to realise very quickly that it is very much possible and do-able, and it is not as scary or as tricky as it sounds here coming from me. In fact, men to tell you a little bit about how it works and what you can expect from this program, just so that you have a bit of a running start going into your research.

Obviously not going to give you a blow by blow on how intermittent fasting is going to work, but what are going to do is give you a few of the pros and cons and maybe even a few tips and ideas on how to get started on your own without having to actually purchase the program right away. Even with these few tips and tricks, you will lose weight, and that should be incentive enough for you to try the full program of full on brilliant results.

So in a very small nutshell, intermittent fasting means fasting for very short periods of time only. Okay, so a little bit of elaboration is necessary. You will typically fast anyway between 12 and 72 hours a week. That’s it. Fasting is exactly what you think it is, it means no calories which means no solid food, or any food for that matter. But it does mean hydration! Drink tea, or more specifically green tea while you are fasting as it will help detoxify as well is help you lose the weight faster. Small disclaimer here: you will need to do a little bit of weight training while you are fasting to force the muscles to burn the fat, in other words speed up your metabolism. The faster your metabolism, the faster you lose weight, the longer you keep it off. Now the beauty of intermittent fasting is that you actually eat perfectly normally when you are not fasting. So if you are eating shepherd’s pie and salad for dinner one night and Mac and cheese on another night, and for lunches you are having sandwiches (is all just examples you understand), you continue to eat the same foods on the days that you are not fasting. It’s really that simple. The only “catch” is that you need to learn to control your portion sizes, and to avoid binge eating. And when you think about it that way, those aren’t exactly “strings attached” as some people might call it. It’s called common sense if you are trying to lose weight and keep it off.

At the end of the day, portion sizes and being smart about what you actually eating is how you’re going to finally shift the weight. There are some tiny changes you can make to your lifestyle, and yes, this becomes a lifestyle, it’s not a diet. These tiny changes include things like at LEAST doubling your vegetable intake and at least two meals a day. It’s amazing how much weight you can lose by cutting your protein intake in half (because quite frankly we eat far too much red meat anyway), eating simple starches as opposed to Chinese noodles and some of the more cheap and crappy pastas and replacing them with things like potatoes and sweet potatoes and if you seriously do need to have some kind of a pasta or as other kind of starch in your diet, go with Brown rice and stay away from the white stuff. And when you do choose to eat pasta, stay away from fatties and moan knees and store branded kinds, and rather stick to the truly Italian brands as these are far superior in quality and have far less starch.

Now I know I said potatoes and that seems like a major contradiction when it comes to weight loss, but because it’s a simple starch, it won’t convert into sugar that’s won’t make your insulin levels spike, and keeps you full for longer. Potatoes can be so boring, I know, but there is a lot you can do with them. For example, simple baked potato with sour cream sprinkled with chopped fresh chives, or skin on into chunky chips and par-boiled (they can be frozen at this stage for later use) and the other baked with a sprinkling of olive oil, fresh ground black pepper and a bit of garlic salt. You can either make tater tots out of them by mashing up with onion and maybe some peas and some corn, rolling the mashed potato mix into tiny little balls, and then deep frying them. Yes, I said deep fried.

Oil is an essential part of your diet just as much as starch is. Without it, you suffer cravings, and that is with the danger lies when it comes to trying to lose weight. Naturally of course when you deep fried anything, or even just shallow fry anything, it always advisable and recommended that you lay it on paper towels to drain off any and all excess fat or oil from the food before you eat it.

I told you, intermittent fasting is a safe way to lose weight, and still enjoy your food, social life and basically just your life in general really because nobody likes to diet. Let me put it to you this way: by doing the simple little changes in my diet and lifestyle, in a matter of seven weeks I lost 7 kg. So now imagine you actually purchase the program and are following it. Just imagine how much weight you can actually lose this way, and it is safe method, healthy fasting as opposed to starving yourself. Life is a choice, and the choice is yours and it’s up to you to decide if you’re going to be obese for the rest of your life or if you are actually going to do something about it properly and for real this time.
